Burns Night Celebrations

Immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of Scottish culture and enjoy the culinary brilliance of our accomplished Head Chef, Rob Boer. 
Rob has crafted a menu that both honours the timeless flavours of Scotland and introduces his contemporary flair.

THE MENU

Starter
Cullen Skink, Smoked Haddock and Potato Soup with Curly Parsley 

Followed by
Black Pudding, Liver Parfait, Beer Pickled Onion, Brioche 

Main
Chargrilled Shoulder of Lamb, Haggis Croquettes, Salt Baked Neeps & Leeks 

Dessert
Dundee Cake Trifle, Whisky Cream 

We will be joined by a member of the Reading Scottish Pipe Band who will further elevate the evening with the stirring sounds of Scotland.

The Woodland Pig Co. Dinner

Helen and Matt founded The Woodland Pig Co., a small scale, welfare-led farm in North-East Hampshire, to exercise their dedication to quality ingredients. On the farm, the couple produce exceptional, native breed, free-range pork, whilst passionately improving pig welfare standards and the environment.  

Given Rob’s passion for using the highest quality ingredients, we are delighted to work with The Woodland Pig Co. at The Mutton. 

To celebrate this relationship, Rob has created a 6-course seasonally led menu which pays homage to the outstanding quality of pork, considerately incorporated into each dish. Alongside the menu, a wine pairing menu will be available on the evening to perfectly compliment every dish.
