Our Slow Braised Beef Featherblade with Parmesan Polenta, Kale and Crispy Onions is sure to bring back memories of home-cooked meals and family gatherings. Cooked low and slow, the meat becomes incredibly succulent; the Parmesan polenta is creamy and rich, while the kale adds a hint of earthiness – and to top it all off, crispy onions for a hint of sweetness.

IN THE BOTTLE
Origen De Resalte – Ribero del Duero is a powerful, firm and elegant wine, made from the Tempranillo grape. The nose is full of ripe red fruit, with hints of spice and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is smooth and velvety, with a long finish of dark chocolate and tobacco. This is a wine with a bold and complex flavour profile to be enjoyed with grilled meats or rich stews.

Our Sunday Lunch is the perfect way to end your weekend in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, with succulent, slow-cooked meats, crispy roast potatoes, and all the trimmings. And with a selection of craft beers and fine wines to accompany your meal, our staff is always on hand to help you choose the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

If you have your mind set on making the most of Valentine’s Day this year, there’s nothing quite as romantic as a dinner date at The Mutton to impress your loved one. You’ll be welcomed with a Rose & Elderflower Spritz to which will follow a 3-course meal specially curated by Head Chef Rob Boer.

The Mutton Walk at Hazeley Heath
Discover this 6.8-km loop trail around Hazeley Heath. Enjoying this tranquil reserve takes an average of 1 h 36 min and is a popular trail for hiking and running as well as spotting some very special wildlife, such as nightjars, tree pipits, woodlarks and silver-studded blue butterflies. Dogs are also welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. You can then reward yourself by retreating to our pub for a comforting meal by the fireplace or a pint or two by the bar.
